June 13 – Greece’s Panathinaikos are switching their kit deal from Kappa to German sports and leisurewear giant Adidas from the start of the 2023 season.
In announcing the switch, Panathinaikos highlighted their former 20-year partnership from 1995 to 2015 that was punctuated by great European nights and cups.
Panathinaikos finished in second place in the Greek Super League last season and will play in the qualification rounds of UEFA Champions League.
“Two top names together again! Panathinaikos and adidas start a new partnership from the summer of 2023, with one and only goal: the top!” said the club in a statement.
“The leading representative of Greek football in Europe, Panathinaikos, this year enters strongly into the orbit of European competitions, always claiming titles in domestic competitions. Our best teammate in the new effort is the leading company in sports equipment, adidas, fully meeting the increased demands of the time. adidas takes over as a sponsor of Panathinaikos sports equipment,” it continued.
“The path of Panathinaikos and adidas to the top is inextricably linked, as our 20-year partnership (1995-2015) was accompanied by great European nights, championships and cups.”
