MSC Cruises docks on AC Milan’s sleeve

July 20 – MSC Cruises have picked up the sleeve patch of AC Milan’s shirt in a multi-year deal that will start this weekend when AC Milan meet Real Madrid at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles as part of the Soccer Champions Tour 2023.

MSC Cruises have been an AC Milan sponsor partner previously. After a gap of 10 years they are now returning as aPrincipal Partner and the Official Sleeve Partner of the club.

Their logo will be on shirt sleeves of the Men’s First Team (both in domestic competitions and Champions League), the Women’s First Team and the Primavera sides.

The club said that as well as the sleeve branding, they will work “together to hold a series of joint events and initiatives, on land and at sea, involving the Rossoneri’s 500 million supporters in Milan, Italy and abroad”.

Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Office, said: “The AC Milan shirt is a second skin, a global icon and a symbol of the passion that our over 500 million fans worldwide have. We’re convinced that, together, two Italian excellences in the world like AC Milan and MSC Cruises will be able to achieve the set goals and reach ambitious milestones.”

MSC Cruises said it is experiencing a record breaking 2023 and expects to reach 4 million passengers just in Italian ports.

Leonardo Massa, Managing Director of MSC Cruises, added: “The partnership fits perfectly on the path traced together in the past and which we have pursued over the years and today sees us side by side with companies that represent Italian excellence in the world as we do… AC Milan is one of the most important clubs in the world and can boast a list of successes both in Italy and abroad. The history of Milan, with its international profile but at the same time linked to Italy and the city of Milan, perfectly matches with MSC Cruises.”

No value was given for the sponsorship.
