Premier League partners with Destination Sport for delivery of Summer Series in US

July 21 – With Premier League clubs head for the East coast of the US for pre-season friendlies as part of the Premier League Summer Series, Destination Sport Travel Group has announced a new partnership with league for its sport travel brand Sportsbreaks.com.

The series of matches begins July 22 as a new-look Chelsea come face to face with Brighton and Hove Albion at the Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia. The following day in a double header Fulham play Brentford and Newcastle United face Aston Villa.

The matches will provide opportunities for clubs to test their new look line ups with Chelsea being of particular particular after months of transfer tug-of-war for the seagull’s Ecuadorean talent Moises Caicedo. Only three weeks into the transfer window, the blues have already parted ways with 10 first team players including German international Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, as well as striker Joao Felix returning to Madrid following the end of his 6-month loan spell.

The Newcastle United vs Villa match-up Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali (Newcastle), Spanish international Pau Torres and FA cup winner Youri Tielemans (both Villa), expected to feature in the opening game of the competition.

Sportsbreaks.com will offer official ticket-included travel packages for all the clubs.

The partnership will also see the Destination Sport manage travel for Premier League staff and officials, as well as some of the participating teams.
