September 8 – Juventus, the first fan token partner for Socios.com on the Chiliz.com blockchain-powered platform, is expanding their partnership to deliver more benefits and rewards for the club’s fans through the JUV Fan Token.
In late 2019, Juventus became the first football club to launch its official Fan Token, which the club says has been a valuable platform for increasing fan engagement with the club and expanding its brand globally.
Juve has launched over 140 Fan Polls on the Socios.com app, including giving Fan Token holders the chance to choose the in-stadium goal celebration song, the design of the team bus, as well as inspirational messages for the team’s locker room. Nearly 400,000 votes have been cast from fans across the world, in parallel with nearly 1,000 rewards linked to the club.
Over 65% of JUV Fan Token holders are aged under 40 and more than 30% are under 30, and are spread across 139 different countries.
Now the parties are increasing the benefits and rewards for JUV Fan Token holders. Starting with the 2023-24 season, Juventus fans will have the opportunity to play in matches at the Allianz Stadium as well as have Early Access for match tickets, special discounted rates for the J Hotel, the J Museum and the Allianz Stadium Tour as well as for the Club’s membership programmes.
Tiziana Di Gioia, CCO of Juventus Football Club, declared: “We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Socios.com, a key partner… Today, our JUV Fan Token allows us to offer exciting opportunities to our fans on a global scale and now, thanks to this new agreement, we will further expand the catalogue of exclusive benefits and experiences that will be available and redeemable to our Fan Token holders.”
More than 100 sporting organisations worldwide have now partnered with Socios.com. More than 80 of them have already launched their Fan Token on the platform.
Italy is a key market for Socios.com, who secured regulatory approval as a service provider of virtual currencies and digital wallets in August 2022, with eight partners including Lega Serie A and the Italian Football Federation. Italy ranks third in terms of number of users on the platform.
Alexandre Dreyfus, Founder and CEO of Socios.com, said: “The expansion of the partnership with Juventus is very special for us. Juventus was one of the first sporting organisations to back our vision to enhance fan engagement through blockchain, and the first club in the world to launch its Fan Token.
“With their boldness, they opened a path that dozens of brands worldwide have followed and that is changing the game for sports fans across the world.”
