November 10 – UEFA have announced the ‘home’ venues for Israel for their upcoming UEFA Women’s Nations League matches as conflict continues in the Gaza strip.
The venues have been moved out of Israel due to safety concerns for all involved.
Armenia’s Republican Stadium in Yerevan will host the Israel’s tie against Armenia on December 2, while the Puskás Akadémia Pancho Aréna, Felcsút, in Hungary will host Israel’s game against Estonia on December 5.
Both fixtures will take place without spectators. The men’s matches last month were also played behind closed doors.
UEFA opted to postpone matches in Israel last month due to safety concerns for fans, players and officials as the conflict continues. The death toll has reached over 12,000 across both sides and the area is marked as unsafe for travel.
Israel Women’s team will be looking to continue their form in front of goal, as they thrashed Estonia 5-0 in September. The Israelis next match is away against Kazakhstan, who have lost all five of their last five games.
