December 7 – The USA, Brazil and Canada will be the three seeded teams heading the groups for the draw December 11 for the 12-team Concacaf W Gold Cup 2024.
The USA and Canada are the top two ranked Concacaf nations, while the Brazilians are the 2022 Women’s Copa America champions.
Pot two will be the three qualified Concacaf nations (Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama) and pot 3 will contain Colombia, Argentina, and Paraguay (second, third, and fourth place finishers at the 2022 Women’s Copa America).
The fourth pot will contain the three winners of the Concacaf play-ins that will take place February 17 at the Dignity Health Sports Park Track and Field Stadium on February 17 in Los Angeles. The match-ups for the play-ins will be according to rankings as below:
M1: Haiti (1) vs Puerto Rico (6)
M2: El Salvador (2) vs Guatemala (5)
M3: Guyana (3) vs Dominican Republic (4)
The group stages will be played between February 20-28, 2024, at Dignity Health Sports Park (Group A), Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego (Group B), and Shell Energy Stadium, Houston (Group C). Group winners, runners-up, and the two best third-place finishers will advance to the quarterfinals.
The quarterfinals at BMO Stadium on March 2 and 3, followed by the semi-finals and final at Snapdragon Stadium on March 6 and 10.
Concacaf said tickets for all matches will go on sale December 15.
W Gold Cup 2024 draw pots:
Pot 1: United States (highest-ranked Concacaf team), Brazil (2022 CONMEBOL Women’s Copa America winner), and Canada (second highest-ranked Concacaf team)
Pot 2: Costa Rica, Mexico, and Panama (three next-best-ranked Concacaf teams)
Pot 3: Colombia, Argentina, and Paraguay (second, third, and fourth place finishers of the 2022 CONMEBOL Women’s Copa America).
