Serbian club Backa Topola joins with Pulsar to create sports tech innovation hub

December 13 – Serbia’s FK TSC Backa Topola has signed a three-year partnership agreement with investment company Pulsar that will see the creation of a sports technology innovation centre at the club.

The agreement was signed by TSC General Manager Sabolč Palađi and Pulsar founder and CEO Pavel Korolev, who collaborates with sports technology startups across Europe through various programs.

“FK TSC is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with PULSAR, a global investment company that invests in technology companies and supports startups in their entry into the global market, as well as in accelerating their growth. Pulsar is present in Japan, USA, Portugal, Ireland and Serbia. The investment strategy includes startups in the fields of finance, agriculture, mobility and sports,” said a club statement.

The state-of-the-art innovation centre is aimed at promoting the development of football and increasing the attractiveness of investments in sports technology. Special support will be provided to startups and IT companies that can improve the efficiency of the club, stadium and academy, as well as significantly contribute to the growth of the club’s income.

“TSC and Pulsar will work together to promote sports values through various initiatives, participation in sports events and innovation programs, tournaments and activities to directly involve fans and the community. TSC believes that this partnership will bring positive changes not only to the club, but also to the entire sports community in the region,” added the club.

“Our goal is to be the leader in the sports industry and technology in the region, and we believe that this partnership will facilitate the achievement of that position. We expect that this initiative will result in stronger connections with fans and a positive contribution to the sports community. We believe that active participation in sports events is key to building the value of any community, and this partnership will allow us to inspire and motivate it,” said Palađi.

Korolev, founder and CEO of Pulsar, added: “We are looking forward to cooperation and the beginning of a systematic interaction with FK TSC, a club with a fascinating history, ambitious plans, its own ideology and a unique infrastructure. It will be one of the key partners in supporting the creation of an infrastructure and ecosystem for the development of sports technologies in Europe.”
