January 25 – The Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) has agreed a sponsorship with Raiffeisen Bank who become the main sponsor of the Kosovan First Football League, which from the spring of 2024 will be renamed the Raiffeisen First League. No term or value was given for the deal.
The new partners emphasised the importance of this cooperation for the progress of Kosovan football.
“It is a pleasure for us that Raiffeisen Bank returns to the big football family, where for many years it has made a valuable contribution and that in a difficult period, when we were not yet part of the two big football families, UEFA and FIFA. This partnership is undoubtedly a new chapter for Kosovar football, where together with our partners, we are committed to writing successful and inspiring stories,” said FFK president Agim Ademi.
“Through this cooperation, we enable a better environment for young talents, a better opportunity for First League clubs and give impetus to the further growth of football in the country. I believe that our partnership will be long-term and all involved parties will benefit from it.”
Anita Kovacic, executive director of Raiffeisen Bank in Kosovo, was similarly excited by the sponsorship, saying: “Football occupies a special place in the hearts of people in Kosovo, so we are pleased to contribute to its development. The ongoing partnership with the Kosovo Football Federation reflects the bank’s commitment to empower this sport and the talented athletes who are an inspiration to all of us.”
“This partnership marks a strong commitment of FFK and Raiffeisen Bank to promote football and its development, but at the same time it also represents the common vision for a better sports future in Kosovo as well as to encourage the passion among young people for football,” added from the FFK.
