March 25 – The Confederation of Brazilian Football (CBF) have renewed their partnership, covering both the men’s and women’s national teams, with pharmacy chain Cimed.
On the sidelines of the England – Brazil friendly, the CBF confirmed the new four-year deal that will reportedly be worth R$100 million ($20 million). Cimed will remain one of the national team’s title sponsors alongside, among others, Nike, Itau, Vivo, Guarana and Mastercard.
“It is an honour for CBF to renew its partnership with a traditional supporter of Brazilian football,” commented CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues.
“We are happy to extend the agreement, even better than the previous one, which began in 2015. This renewal shows confidence that the market has in Brazilian football and in the CBF brand.”
He added; ”In this new partnership, we included a clause that Cimed will of dedicate R$ 1 million in medicines per year to CBF’s social actions.”
“We decided to renew this partnership because we see this new cycle of the team, with the arrival of coach Dorival Jr, with great optimism. Football is much more than winning or losing. It’s about our culture and the connection between people. This says a lot about Cimed’s DNA, supporting our partners and customers in moments of glory and also challenges,” explained the president of Cimed João Adibe Marques.
Cimed also sponsors Brazilian top flight club Cruzeiro.
