E-commerce platform AliExpress joins Euro 2024 partner roster

March 28 – Online retail marketplace AliExpress, part of China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, has been unveiled as an official partner of Euro 2024.

The partnership, UEFA’s first exclusive e-commerce platform partner for a men’s Euros, was unveiled at Olympiastadion Berlin yesterday by UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein, AliExpress European Commercial Director Gary Topp and German football legend Oliver Bierhoff.

As part of its marketing activation AliExpress will offer fans a combination of discounts and deals on AliExpress Choice, as well as interactive games and competitions for the opportunity to win prizes, including match tickets.

“We are thrilled to welcome AliExpress as the first exclusive e-commerce platform partner for a UEFA Men’s European Football Championship. We will work closely together to make the fan digital experience for this summer’s spectacle as exciting as possible, bringing further innovations to football fans all around the world. This starts with offering fans the chance to win some unforgettable prizes, including match tickets for UEFA Euro 2024,” said Epstein.

AliExpress joins adidas, Alipay, Atos, Betano, Booking.com, BYD, Coca-Cola, Engelbert Strauss, Hisense, Lidl, Unilever Nutrition/Unilever Personal Care, Visit Qatar/Qatar Airways and Vivo as official global sponsors of Euro 2024.

“As football enthusiasm spreads across Europe, we will bring fans even closer to the action, with great deals on a vast selection of popular and trending products, as well as interactive games and the chance to win fantastic prizes,” said Gary Topp, AliExpress European Commercial Director.

Euro 2024 will be played across ten host cities in Germany from 14 June to 14 July.
