May 2 – Liverpool have unveiled their home kit for the 2024/25 season, the first in the Premier League ahead of the 2024/25 season, as the team continues to struggle domestically in a limp end to an otherwise encouraging season.
The kit was unveiled on the club’s official social media on Thursday morning. The away and third variants are still to be released, but are expected to be revealed by the end of the current season.
Nike has said that the new kit is available for pre-order, at a price range of £84.95 for the stadium variant, and £124.99 for the match replica – a 20% increase in merchandise pricing over the past five seasons.
With Liverpool’s Nike deal reaching an end, the new strip marks the final collaboration between the two before Adidas return to Anfield in 2025.
Said to be inspired by Rome, with the familiar red mixed with streaks of gold and white. The kit strikes similarities with the one worn throughout the 2019/20 title-winning campaign.
It is the latest kit to feature Nike’s experimental collar design, as seen across a number of kits unveiled ahead of the Euro 2024 Championship and Copa America this summer.
Liverpool play Spurs at home on Sunday in a last bid to break back into the Premier League title race, but need both Manchester City and Arsenal to drop points.
At present, they sit five points off leaders Arsenal with three games left to play.
