July 3 – Turkey’s Fenerbahçe have extended their main shirt sponsorship with car dealership Otokoç for another year until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The new contract between Fenerbahce and Otokoç is worth a total TL 347 million (€9 923 440 million), including bonuses.
Otokoç, is a subsidiary of Koç Holding, where Fenerbahce president Ali Koç is the Deputy Chairman of the Board.
“A contract has been signed with Otokoç Otomotiv AŞ for the use of the OTOKOÇ brand in the Fenerbahçe Football A Team’s jersey chest advertisement and other various media for the 2024/2025 season, with a contract price of TL 243,582,500 (€6 965 926) + VAT,” said a club statement.
“In addition, a maximum of TL 103,522,563 (€2 960 518)+ VAT net success bonus will be paid, together with the success bonuses from domestic and international league and cup organizations.”
Fenerbahce’s recent seasons have been emotional having finished runners up in the Turkish Super Lig since their last title in 2014. Two seasons ago they were embroiled in a deep and bitter row with league broadcaster BeIN Sport who they claimed were manipulating VAR, while last season they threatened to pull out of the league after their players were attacked by opposition fans.
Last month the club announced they had appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
