July 4 – Tottenham Hotspur have signed a multi-year partnership that will see BetMGM take over from struggling Getir as the front of training wear partner for the club’s men’s team.
The three-year deal will see the BetMGM logo on the men’s team’s training wear for about £10 million a season, marking an uptick on the previous £8 million per year contract.
Former training kit sponsor, Turkish-based delivery company Getir, signed a three-year deal with the club in 2021. Tottenham anticipated that the partnership would naturally conclude at the end of last season, though reports are that Getir owes nearly £5 million to the Premier League club.
As well as receiving prominent branding on Spurs’ training apparel, BetMGM will be the betting partner for the club’s men’s and women’s teams, and will receive promotion throughout the 62,850-seat Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with BetMGM. The Club and BetMGM’s values align exceptionally well through a competitive spirit, whilst also continuing to strive for greatness.
“BetMGM has demonstrated it is putting its customers first by continuously developing its product offering to fans. Throughout this partnership, we are looking to help BetMGM further establish itself in the UK market, as well as enhancing customers’ knowledge around responsible gambling.”
BetMGM have been busy this summer, as the brand continues to agree a variety of deals across the Premier League, including smaller agreements with Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Sam Behar, UK Director of BetMGM, said: “We are very proud to launch this partnership with Spurs as their progressive spirit fully aligns with BetMGM’s ambitions. This is our third Premier League deal in just a week, and we look forward to kicking off this exciting season as we continue to grow BetMGM’s presence in the world of sports.”
Spurs will debut their new training collection during their pre season to Asia this summer, including brief visits to Japan and South Korea, beginning later this month.
