July 22 – Bulgaria’s Krumovgrad FC has signed a sponsorship contract with one of the newest entrants into the Bulgarian betting market, Bethub.
The online sports betting and casino games business will have their logos on the back of Krumovgrad shirts for the 2024/2025 season. Compass Cargo Airlines, based in Krumovgrad, remains the main sponsor of the club.
No value for the deal was given.
“The good results of our team in the past season are a prerequisite for interest in the club. We are glad that in a company like Bethub we find a partner with whom we can achieve mutual success. The beginning is always difficult and that is why we lend a hand to the company in its first steps on the Bulgarian market,” said Asen Karaslavov, executive director of FC Krumovgrad.
Two seasons ago Krumovgrad team won a historic promotion to Bulgaria’s football elite. The team managed to save themselves from relegation and finished in sixth place in the final standings. Krumovgrad is still unable to play at its own stadium in the southern Bulgarian city, as the facility does not hold a license. Krumovgrad will continue to play its home matches this year in the city of Plovdiv, which is 140 km away.
“Last season, as a rookie, Krumovgrad achieved extremely impressive results. We are a new gambling operator, we are just getting started, so I think that our brand being associated with a team like Krumovgrad is extremely suitable for us. We hope through our partnership with them to achieve great success, similar to them last year,” said Kiril Naldzhiev, manager of Bethub.
