August 6 – Serbia’s Vojvodina Novi Sad has unveiled bookmaker MaxBet as its main sponsor. The company’s logo will be on Vojvodina’s shirts for the next two years.
MaxBet was founded in 1993 and now employs more than 3,000 people and is present at more than 450 locations in Serbia, Montenegro, Serbia and North Macedonia. MaxBet is part of Flutter International, the international division of betting and gaming giant Flutter Entertainment, that is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
“The name of our company adorns the shirts of the oldest Vojvodina club – and we are extremely proud of being the Gold sponsor of FK Vojvodina for the next two years. Through this sponsorship, we want to support them in their quest for success and the best possible results on all three fronts,” said Savo Bakmaz, CEO of MaxBet.
“MaxBet’s mission is clear: we continuously invest in sports in the places where we live, work and play. Investing in the community is part of the Flutter company’s global initiative, within which MaxBet also operates. Our project ‘Do more’ implies continuous investment in the community, and we are focused on three key areas: sports, technology and health, and our goal is to influence the improvement of the lives of 10 million people worldwide by the end of 2030 on a global level.
Dragoljub Zbiljić, president of Vojvodina Novi Sad, expressed satisfaction with the contract and pointed out that the club will need serious funds after the transfers made in the summer and the upcoming reconstruction of the club’s stadium in Novi Sad.
“FK Vojvodina has big plans for the future and we are glad that MaxBet recognized our ambitions. During the summer transfer window, we brought in several new players, and the reconstruction of the ‘Karađorđe’ stadium awaits us next year. We are extremely glad that we have the great support of MaxBet in all of this and I sincerely believe that,” said Zbiljić.
