August 19 – The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has signed a three-year TV deal with Albanian Radio Television (RTSH) for exclusive rights to the Albanian First Division (Kategoria Superiore), Second Division, Albanian Cup and Super Cup matches.
Albanian football returns to RTSH after the Albanian federation terminated its contract with Over Sport last year due to non-compliance with the contract terms.
The value of the new broadcast contract between is €1.2 million per season.
“The Albanian Football Federation announces that it has signed an agreement with the Albanian Radio Television, which will broadcast the Superior Category championship, including the Final 4, the First Category, the Albanian Cup, and the Albanian Supercup, for the next three seasons,” said a federation statement.
“After the opening of the procedures for the sale of the TV rights of the national football competitions, the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation examined the proposals of the national operators and after discussions declared the bid from RTSH as the winner.
“According to the agreement, RTSH receives the television rights for the 2024/25 seasons; 2025/26; 2026/27 of national competitions for the territory of Albania and Kosovo.”
