September 4 – Indonesia-based MNC Group has renewed its media rights partnership with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) via its PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNC) broadcast division for the 2025-2028 commercial cycle.
The deal covers Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste and is for the AFC’s major national team competitions within the cycle, as well as for the AFC’s restructyred club competitions eco-system.
The agreement includes the Asian Qualifiers – Road to 26, the Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026, the Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, the U23 Asian Cup 2026 and 2028. The new format club competitions that have been expanded in terms of clubs and matches, include the top tier Champions League Elite, the newly created AFC Women’s Champions League and the AFC Champions League Two.
AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John said: “The long-standing partnership between the AFC and MNC further reinforces the appeal and world-class stature of the AFC’s competitions, and we would like to thank MNC for their continued belief in the Asian game.”
MNC will broadcast all of Indonesia’s national team matches at the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to 26 and the AFC Asian Cup on their linear free-to-air television channels.
