Hibs extend Kitman data deal to cover academy sides

September 25 – Scottish Premiership outfit Hibernian FC have increased their data deal with Kitman Labs to also support talent development.

The club will utilise the Coaching and Talent Development Solution in the Kitman Labs Intelligence Platform (iP) across its men’s development team and academy squads (U9-U18), on top of the Performance Medicine and Performance Optimisation Solutions that the club already uses for its first team.

Kitman’s Coaching & Development Solution will aim to advance Hibs’ ability to optimise player pathways and identify talent earlier in the development cycle, as well as enabling more informed succession planning to accelerate their talent development pipeline. The new data will allow coaches to create individualised development programmes using a data-driven benchmarking system for player progression.

Kitman’s roster of club partners includes Champions League sides Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool, alongside Premier League deals with Chelsea, Fulham and Ipswich Town.

Hibernian FC’s Academy Director, Gareth Evans, commented: “Utilising the Kitman Labs Intelligence Platform allows us to unify our data collection process, which is vital when monitoring the development of our young players.  The ‘Coaching and Talent Development Solution’ will provide our coaches with the infrastructure and data-led insights to build successful development models, which will ultimately aid the young players we have at HTC.”
