EA Sports renews Uber sponsorship for FC25

October 1 – EA Sports has announced a continuation of its partnership with Uber Eats for a second year, which will see Uber Eats and Uber One branding on virtual pitch-side boards for the video game maker’s new FC25 release.

EA’s FC24 title saw more than 1.6 billion virtual matches played in its first month alone, each of which featuring the Uber Eats branding.

The partnership will be for the entire lifespan of the new game, which hit shelves on September 27 at a price point of £70 per copy.

To mark the expansion of the partnership, Uber Eats and Uber One will offer exclusive deals to customers in Germany, France, Spain, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Through promotions on the Uber Eats platform, customers will have the chance to win copies of the new FC 25 release and an Ultimate Team pack to use in-game.

Additionally, FC 25 players will be able to unlock a set of Uber Eats-themed customisation items, including three branded kits and three stadium accessories, offering fans new ways to personalise their squad. These items will be available through a post-launch update.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with Uber Eats for a second year,” said Charlie Villiers, Sr. Director, Franchise Marketing EA Sports FC.

“This year, the increased customisation for how Uber Eats is featured in the game, with unique kits and stadium items and further product integration across the Ultimate Team matchday experience, will create exciting benefits for both the EA Sports FC and Uber Eats communities.”

No value was given for the renewed sponsorship.

“This ongoing alliance is a monumental step in authentically integrating Uber Eats into the gaming community and most popular soccer platform in the world,” said David Mogensen, Vice President, Global Marketing at Uber. “By continuing to align with EA Sports FC, we hope to enhance the gaming experience for millions and also position Uber Eats as the go-to delivery choice for players around the globe.”
