New management and new sponsors. Bulgaria’s Spartak Varna move on from Nikolov era

October 21 – Bulgaria’s Spartak Varna have signed two new sponsorship deals despite the financial instability surrounding the club after former owner Pavlin Nikolov decided to step down and stop funding the team.

The Varna club announced that it had signed contracts with consumer electronics giant Philips and Novatrade, a leading company in the production and bottling of soft drinks.

The contract between Spartak and Philips is for a period of one year, with an option to extend.

Philips and Novatrade logos will occupy a prominent places in the club stadium and Spartak’s training facility. Novatrade will also support the club’s academy.

No vale was given for the deals.
