January 15 – West Ham United, in collaboration with their Official Accounting Software Partner, Intuit QuickBooks, has launched a new campaign aimed at supporting local businesses and helping them prepare for the upcoming self-assessment tax deadline on January 31.
The campaign showcases stars from both West Ham’s men’s and women’s teams stepping into the shoes of small business owners to highlight the everyday challenges they face.
Ghanaian attacker Mohamed Kudus is seen hard at work in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant, while Mexican international Edson Álvarez gets his hands dirty under the bonnet at an Essex car mechanic. Women’s team midfielder Katrina Gorry takes on fish preparation duties at a local fishmonger, and Chilean defender Camila Sáez hammers away at a builder’s merchant in East London.
The collaboration aims to raise awareness about the tools and resources available through QuickBooks to help small businesses manage their finances effectively during tax season. With the self-assessment deadline looming, the campaign seeks to empower entrepreneurs to take control of their accounts and ease the burden of tax preparation.
This initiative not only highlights the critical role small businesses play in local communities but also underscores West Ham United’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond the football pitch.
The Hammers enjoyed a thrilling return to form on Tuesday night, beating London rivals Fulham 3-2 victory at the London Stadium. It marked new boss Graham Potter’s first Premier League game at West Ham.
They meet Crystal Palace at home this weekend.
