Revolut banks on global partnership with Man City Women

January 16 – Manchester City Women have announced a global partnership with Revolut, marking the financial technology company’s debut in women’s football.

The partnership, effective immediately, will see the Revolut brand displayed on the training kit sleeve of Manchester City Women. Adding further star power, City captain Alex Greenwood will serve as a Revolut ambassador, strengthening the fintech company’s visibility both off the pitch.

This collaboration isn’t just about branding; it’s a bold statement of intent from Revolut. As women’s football continues to grow in popularity worldwide (and particularly in the UK), the company is getting ahead of the sponsorship curve, capitalising on the sport’s expanding appeal with a multi-faceted deal.

For Manchester City Women, the deal represents another major milestone in their active pursuit of high-profile commercial partnerships, cementing their reputation as pioneers in women’s football sponsorship by adding the latest member to its already stacked portfolio, headlined by stadium naming partner Joie – a deal which gave the club one of the few sponsored stadiums in the Women’s Super League.

To celebrate the partnership, fans can look forward to a special Revolut-themed takeover during City’s marquee match against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium this March. Additionally, the deal will see Revolut branding will feature across digital and physical assets throughout the season.

With no end date specified, this deal signals a long-term commitment from both parties. Revolut’s global presence provides Manchester City Women with an opportunity to elevate their profile internationally, while the club’s association with one of the world’s fastest-growing financial brands underscores its position as a leader in the women’s game.

Charlotte O’Neill, Managing Director of Manchester City Women, said: “This is a key moment as we welcome another brand committed to investing in the women’s game and supporting the commercial growth and sustainability of the Club. Revolut joins our growing portfolio of partners focused solely on the women’s game and we look forward to working with the brand throughout the partnership and this journey together.”

Revolut was founded in 2015 in the UK offering online bank accounts a number of other financial services including pre-paid debit cards, a stock and cryptocurrency exchange, as well as savings accounts and loans. It now operates in 57 countries.

Deborah Wajsbrot, Head of Growth – Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships at Revolut said: “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation, excellence and breaking boundaries – values that resonate deeply with both the Club’s fans and our users. Together, we’re committed to creating exclusive benefits and unforgettable experiences that bring our communities closer to the game they love.”
