January 30 – The Municipality of Split is preparing the process to reconstruct and renovate the Poljud Stadium, Croatia’s largest football venue with a capacity of 33,987 seats.
The redevelopment work will be carried out in phases, with the stadium set to remain open and functional during the process, albeit with a reduced capacity.
To begin the reconstruction, the Municipality of Split has launched a public procurement for the contractor of the initial phase of redevelopment.
The tender documentation is available on the website of the Electronic Public Procurement Notice of the Republic of Croatia (EOJN), and the opening of bids is scheduled for March 11, 2025.
The first phase will focus on the current concrete and steel structures, renovation of the roof, replacement of the stadium lighting network and installation of a modern sound system.
The selected contractor will, after the completion of the public procurement procedure, prepare the project documentation and then begin the execution of the planned works.
The redevelopment process is expected to last 31 months at a cost of €25 million.
