March 20 – Concacaf have announced a partnership with Shriner’s Children that will see the specialist paediatric care providers become the official children’s healthcare provider of Concacaf’s Nations League Finals and Gold Cup.
Shriners Children’s provides free-of-charge pediatric specialty care regardless of a family’s ability to pay or insurance status.
“This new initiative with Concacaf provides an incredible opportunity to amplify the stories of our patients — children who have faced medical challenges with courage and determination,” said Richard Burke, chairman of the board of directors for Shriners Children’s.
“Seeing our patients walk on to the field alongside some of the world’s greatest soccer players will be a powerful moment, symbolizing resilience and the limitless potential of every child in our care.”
The partnership will see Shriners Children’s patients honoured as ‘The Most Amazing Captains’ and will enter the stadium with teams. Shriners will also have inventory on advertising boards and venue signage across the 13 cities Concacaf will play Nations League and Gold Cup matches in 2025.
Concacaf President and FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani, said: “By welcoming Shriners Children’s patients to the center stage of our premier men’s senior national team competitions, we celebrate the unifying power of football while sharing a message of hope, resilience, and community—values that define both our tournaments and their inspiring mission.”
The semi finals of the nations League will be played on March 20 at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium with the United States vs. Panama, followed by Canada vs. Mexico. The final and third-place play-off will be played March 23, also at the SoFi Stadium.
The Gold Cup will be played June 14 to July 6, across 14 stadiums in the US and Canada.
