Concacaf bets on sports data commercial boost

March 21 – Concacaf has inked a multi-year deal with Sports AI and data heavyweight Stats Perform, as the confederation looks to capitalise on the soaring value of sports data and betting content to grow its bottom line.

The agreement grants Stats Perform exclusive official data and betting-related live streaming rights for all of Concacaf’s flagship competitions, including the Gold Cup, Nations League (in select markets), and Champions Cup.

In what is being billed as a “timely partnership”, Concacaf is doubling down on the revenue potential of official data and betting engagement, tapping into the surging interest in football across North America and the wider region – not to mention the global betting market’s seemingly insatiable appetite for live content and interactivity.

Stats Perform will not only collect in-venue data for media use but also provide betting-related data and live streaming video feeds to global sportsbooks.

In the US, that distribution will be handled by SportsContentCo, Stats Perform’s official reseller for betting content. Crucially, this opens the door for Concacaf to monetise its competitions far beyond traditional broadcast deals, creating new revenue streams at the intersection of sport, technology, and in particular betting.

Stats Perform’s AI-driven tools – including Instant Highlights and Interactive Stats Overlays – will be used to enhance the in-game experience for sportsbooks and customers, making betting more engaging and, of course, potentially more profitable for operators.

Concacaf itself will also be on the front foot, leveraging Stats Perform’s OptaAI-powered tools to generate rich, sponsor-friendly content across its digital platforms. With automated storytelling, match insights, and data-driven editorial services now in play, the confederation aims to deepen fan engagement and boost its commercial appeal in a competitive marketplace.

The partnership will act a play to elevate Concacaf’s competitions into premium, tech-enhanced properties with scalable value for fans, media partners, and sportsbooks alike. As football in the region heats up ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Concacaf seems intent on making sure its digital and data game is as sharp as its on-field product.

Philippe Moggio, Concacaf general secretary said: “We are excited to partner with Stats Perform, a highly trusted global leader in sports AI and technology. Their expertise and powerful tools will support our effort to elevate the game and engage fans, sponsors, and media partners in new and innovative ways.”
