March 31 – Manchester City has strengthened its commercial presence in Southeast Asia by securing a new regional partnership with Vietnamese energy drink brand Wake-Up 247. The deal sees Wake-Up 247 become the club’s Official Energy Drinks Partner in Vietnam, reinforcing City’s growing influence in one of football’s fastest-expanding markets.
Wake-Up 247 has been a dominant force in Vietnam’s energy drink sector for over a decade, capitalising on the country’s demand for high-caffeine beverages. The brand’s market strength aligns with City’s growing popularity in Vietnam, where the club has experienced the highest follower growth of any Premier League side in the past ten years.
Across Southeast Asia, City say they now boast over 100 million followers.
The partnership will see Wake-Up 247 roll out co-branded products in Vietnam, featuring Manchester City’s badge and player imagery, while also launching local activations. The brand will also have visibility at the Etihad Stadium, with pitch-side LED advertising ensuring exposure to global audiences.
Kaitlyn Beale, Vice President, Global Partnership Sales, City Football Group, commented: “The Club has a passionate following across Asia, including in Vietnam, and we look forward to working with Wake-Up 247 on new and engaging ways to interact with our fans.”
Mr. Thang Truong Cong, CEO of Masan Consumer Holdings, added: “At Wake-Up 247, we are committed to inspiring consumers to embrace their challenges head-on, fuel their ambition, and push forward with determination.
“This partnership is a perfect match, as both Wake-Up 247 and Manchester City aim to inspire everyone to achieve greatness.”
