April 14 – Mohammed Salah is up for more unique records with Liverpool as Egypt’s superstar striker ended months of speculation over his future and signed a new two-year contract that will take him through to the end of the 2026-27 season on Merseyside.
During his 8-year tenure, Salah has unparalleled stats. He is Liverpool top goal-scorer in the Premier League with 182 goals. He also scored two Premier League goals for Chelsea taking his tally to 184 goals in the English top flight.
Salah has scored 243 goals in all competitions since his debut with Liverpool on 12 August 2017 (3-3 against Watford), no other player scored more goals for Liverpool he joined the club. Sadio Mane is the closest, scoring 107 goals for the Reds before the Senegalese moved to Saudi Arabia outfit Al-Nassr.
Since his debut with Liverpool, no single player in any English clubs in all local, continental and world club competitions has scored more goals than Salah.
The second highest scorer is Harry Kane who has scored 199 goals since 12 August 2017 (Salah debut) through until the former Tottenham Hotspur star moved to Bayern Munich.
The Egyptian legend, who scored 380 career goals, is the third top all-time African goal-scorer and he is now going neck-to-neck with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon who is playing his trade with the Saudi Club Al-Qadisiya.
