Union Berlin promise football that puts you to sleep

April 17 – FC Union Berlin’s main sponsor HomeToGo has dreamed up a novel way for supporters to spend more time at their beloved Stadion An der Alten Försterei – by letting them literally spend the night there.

Dubbed “Stadionnächte by HomeToGo,” this unique promotion will allow selected fans to enjoy pitch-side accommodation during two special weekends in May.

The campaign cleverly connects HomeToGo’s core business of vacation rentals with the growing market for football tourism. Plus, unlike most premium stadium experiences that would cost you an arm and a leg, HomeToGo is offering this once-in-a-lifetime stay completely free of charge.

To score this dream opportunity, fans must submit a personal story about their connection with FC Union Berlin, explaining why they deserve to watch football live from the comfort of their own bed. (Just remember to set an alarm – oversleeping through match day would be a real own goal!)

The promotion includes two separate overnight experiences: May 2, reserved exclusively for Union Berlin club members, and May 9, open to the general public. Winners for the members night will be selected by club officials from a shortlist curated by HomeToGo, while the second night will be awarded to the winner of a public vote from a shortlist of entries published on HomeToGo’s social media.

Each lucky winner (plus one companion) will receive an overnight stay in a temporary pitch-side unit, a private stadium tour, a film screening, and tickets to Union Berlin’s next home match.

Let’s just hope the winners don’t get caught offside while untangling themselves from the duvet covers before kick-off. And remember – while shouting “I’m dreaming!” might be appropriate, sleepwalking onto the pitch during a match is generally frowned upon.
