Adidas expands Ekstraklasa ball deal deal to run until of 2029/30 season

April 28 – Poland’s Ekstraklasa SA has renewed its long-standing partnership with adidas, securing the global sports brand as the Official Ball Supplier for the country’s top football division until the end of the 2029/30 season.

The new five-year agreement, effective from the 2025/26 campaign, builds on a relationship that has been in place since 2014/15. It will see an increased supply of balls and accessories to clubs, alongside a broader cooperation that includes new equipment lines, co-branded licensed products, and expanded promotional activities.

Under the extended terms, adidas will also provide additional support to grassroots initiatives, donating products to the Ekstraklasa Foundation for children’s tournaments and other sporting events.

The partnership will introduce a wider range of co-developed licensed merchandise, including an Official Match Ball, Official Football Boots – with editions for youth players – and an expanded lifestyle clothing collection.

From a marketing perspective, Ekstraklasa will integrate adidas branding more deeply across its platforms, offering the brand enhanced exposure via social media and on-pitch activations, such as branded match ball stands featured during television broadcasts.

The extension underlines adidas’ continued strength in Central and Eastern Europe, as Ekstraklasa further strengthens its commercial programme ahead of the new rights and sponsorship cycle.

Marcin Animucki, President of the Board of Ekstraklasa, said: “Cooperation with the adidas brand is a long, strategic partnership and we are very happy to extend it for years to come. adidas is the highest quality combined with modern knowledge in the field of professional sports equipment design, and the balls of this brand are used to play the largest football tournaments in the world. The same balls will also be played with PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa matches for the next five seasons.

Marina Moguš, SVP & General Manager Central at adidas, added: “We are happy that we can continue to support the development of top-class football competitions in Poland – not only by providing our equipment, but also by sharing our experience and building joint projects that will help us fully exploit the potential of the League. adidas will also support initiatives run by the Ekstraklasa Foundation, which significantly influence the development of football passions among children and youth.”
