SIGA Champions expanded with addition of Brazilian legends Mauro Silva and Tamires Dias

May 28 – Mauro Silva, aWorld Cup winner with Brazil’s men team in 1994, and Tamires  who has more than 100 caps for the Brazilian women’s national team, have joined the SIGA Champions programme.

The champions programme is a global network of sports people committed to promoting the highest standards of integrity in sport.

Silva is widely respected for his ethical conduct on and off the pitch. Since retiring he has serves as Vice President of the Paulista Football Federation, promoting education, ethics, and integrity in football.

Dias paused her career at 21 to become a mother and later returned to the highest level of competition, becoming a symbol of resilience. She is a passionate advocate for gender equity in sport.
