October 6 – The French Football Federation (FFF) has upgraded its deal with Orange who become a major sponsor of the national mens and womens teams in a four-year deal staring in 2018.
Orange has already committed to sponsoring the e-sport tournament ‘e-Ligue 1’ for a further two seasons. Orange was a major sponsor of the Euro 2016 tournament in France,
FFF president Noël Le Graët said: “This new partnership is great news for the federation. The strong Orange engagement with our French national teams, women’s football and amateur football is a real plus. We had the will and the desire to strengthen our relations and to include them in the long term.
“Orange is a leading telecommunications group, known worldwide, highly efficient and very innovative. It is a showcase company. Its presence on our territory, as well as abroad, also corresponds fully to the vocation and activities of the federation.”
Orange is a major supporter if French sport also having deals with French Rugby sponsoring mens and womens national teams.
Orange will be alongside Crédit Agricole, EDF, Nike, PMU and Volkswagen as a major partner of the FFF. No value was given for the new deal.
