March 23 – FIFA has made its debut on YouTube seeking to make its online content more accessible to football fans across the globe.

FIFA have put footage from recent World Cups, the women’s competition in Germany last year and the men’s in South Africa in 2010 on YouTube.

Also available are player profiles, clips from FIFA documentaries, FIFA Futbol Mundial shows and the Brazil 2014 monthly magazine.

FIFA will also broadcast videos of football developments, social initiatives and human interest stories on the YouTube site.

Live streaming of media events and video news releases will also be put online.

“FIFA is keen to engage with football fans beyond our competitions by sharing our rich visual content with them, and for this there is no better platform in terms of reach and penetration than YouTube,” said FIFA President Sepp Blatter.
