Dortmund to stream club OTT channel on Sportradar platform

August 9 – Borussia Dortmund is re-launching its club TV channel – BVB-TV – using Sportradar’s OTT platform. The channel will provide free content and a subscription service for €1.99 a month.

Borussia Dortmund’s friendly matches will be aired live on the channel which will showcase exclusive content from players. Full match replays and game highlights of Bundesliga matches will be available immediately after the final whistle.

BVB-TV, the club’s CMO Carsten Cramer said: “We love to provide our fans with the most engaging ways to connect with our matches and our players…We revisited our OTT platform and decided we wanted more from it.”

That includes using Sportradar’s data specialism to create a range of stats graphics for replays enabling a second screen experience within the platform’s primary screen. Graphics will be dynamic overlays which are synchronised minute by minute.

Via a management system delivered by Sportradar, content will be distributed across web, mobile, social media and to Deutsche Telekom, BVB’s main club TV sponsor.
