MoPlay add Watford sleeve after Man Utd deal secured, 1xBet back Cardiff

August 10 – New launch online betting firm MoPlay has signed to become Premier League Watford’s sleeve sponsor. The announcement from the fast-moving gaming business follows on from the news earlier this week that it had become Manchester United’s official global gaming partner.

MoPlay’s deal with Watford will start this weekend with its logo appearing on the sleeve of the Watford home shirt, while the brand’s app icon will sit on the away shirt sleeve.

Juergen Reutter, MoPlay chief executive, said: “Securing a shirt sleeve presence in the Premier League, so soon after our launch, is a true statement of intent for the MoPlay brand. We’re delighted to be partnering with Watford, a club on the up, and one we feel a genuine synergy with.”

MoPlay has positioned itself as a game changer in the sports betting world under the hashtag #MoveOnUp. The betting company claims it provides “a fast, simple, personal and secure service, aimed at enhancing the user experience like never before.” Its chutzpah in this regard mirrors Watford’s own challenger position in the Premier League.

Spencer Field, commercial director at Watford, said: “This is an important year for the club, as we strive to increase our global reach while continuing to make our fans proud by doing things differently in the Watford way.

“We are thrilled to have found a partner, in MoPlay, that matches our ethos by looking to disrupt the betting industry by offering its customers a more engaging and enjoyable experience.”

No value or term for the deal was given.
