February 19 – The English Football League (EFL) has extended its partnership with Thai Airways of the EFL’s five finals, the first of which – the Carabao Cup – will be played between Chelsea and Manchester City next weekend at Wembley.
Thai Airways will have digital and in stadia presence across all the EFL’s Finals at Wembley including the Checkatrade Trophy, Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two Play-Off Finals.
Thai Airways first became an Official Supporter of the EFL in November 2017.
Last season’s EFL finals were attended by more than 288,000 people and broadcast in over 190 territories. Thai Airways will also have access to VIP tickets for fan competitions.
EFL chief executive, Shaun Harvey, said: “The international market is increasingly important for the EFL, as we look to raise the profile of the League, our Clubs and the unique excitement and drama of EFL competitions on a global stage. Our international television deals alongside streaming platform iFollow, continue to provide international supporters with ever more opportunities to follow the EFL wherever they are in the world.
“The relationship with Thai Airways will help to provide the airline with a unique opportunity to have a presence at all of our showpiece Finals, starting with the much anticipated Carabao Cup Final at the end of the month.”
