Ecuador women’s team staff fired over sex pest accusations

April 23 – The coach of Ecuador’s women’s team, Luis Pescarolo, as well as a physical trainer and a doctor, have been sacked following complaints of sexual harassment.

The Ecuadorian Football Federation said it “will stop counting on the services of those involved” as a result of events which reportedly took place between May 2018 and March 2019.

Pescarolo, who was also in charge of the under 17, 18 and 20 women’s squads, have denied the accusations which included alleged provocative messages and a request to engage in sexual activity.
