Fiat drives new 4-year deal with Italian FA

June 13 – Fiat has renewed its sponsorship with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) for another four years.

Fiat will be designated a Top Partner and the Official Car of the Azzurri. As part of the deal, Fiat will supply of a fleet of cars to accompany the FIGC personnel on official and friendly matches.

The Fiat brand will appear on the training kit and pitchside boards, while there will be further activations around the men’s, women’s and the junior’s teams.

Luca Napolitano, Head of EMEA Fiat & Abarth Brand, said: “Fiat wants to take the field directly to support the team of all Italians”, commented Napolitano. “Today, Fiat and FIGC have just turned 120 and continue to work to take on the challenges of the near future and to hold the name of Italy high worldwide.”

The announcement was made at the 2020 European Championship qualification match between Italy and Bosnia Herzegovina match. Gabriele Gravina (pictured left), President of FIGC, was present with head coach Roberto Mancini (right), and Napolitano.

“The Italian football team has always been a symbol of sportsmanship, bringing together millions of fans and exporting a positive image of the country in the world. The bond is the culmination of a journey that began over a century ago and that has always seen Fiat and Italy together in the social, industrial and cultural evolution of the country,” said a Fiat press release.

No value was given for the deal.
