Japan gives Copa America 2019 oldest and youngest players, Qatar the tallest and shortest

June 13 – The other face of Copa America 2019 to kick-off in Brazil on Friday shows interesting stats coming from the tournament newcomers Japan and Qatar.

According to #mundial11, Japan’s duo Eiji Kawashim and Takefusa Kupo are the oldest and youngest players among the 276 players registered with 12 national teams in the Copa America 2019.

Japan’s veteran goalkeeper Kawashim will be 36 years, two months at the kick-off time of the Copa America 2019 while his starlet colleague Kupo is the youngest player in the tournament at18 years and 10 days.

Meanwhile, the tallest and shortest players in Copa America 2019 happened to be from the Qatari League.

Venezuelan defender Jhon Carlos Chancellor, 198 cms, spent the last six months with Qatar’s outfit Al-Ahly and is the tallest player in the entire 2019 edition, while Qatar national team midfielder Assim Madabo, 163 cms, is the shortest player in the tournament.

Both Qatar and Japan are guests in the tournament.
