Saints renew Utilita and add Kuflink to sponsor roster

July 12 – Premier League Southampton have renewed Utilita as the club’s Official Energy and Utilities Partner as well as adding Kuflink as the club’s new Official Peer to Peer Investment Partner.

Local Hampshire business Utilita has grown rapidly to become the UK’s leading provider of smart pay-as-you-go energy. They have been a Saints partner for two years though no term or value was given for the renewal.

The club will create bespoke digital content with Utilita, and provide access to the Saints first team as well its legends – Matt Le Tissier open Utilita’s new Energy Hub Shop in the city this month.

Utilita’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Jem Maidment, said: “Utilita is a national company, but fiercely proud of its Hampshire roots – no other local energy company has helped as many struggling households across the UK in the fight against fuel poverty. We installed Britain’s first ever smart meter and now 90% of our customers have one – the highest percentage of any UK supplier.”

Saints fans who switch to Utilita will receive exclusive offers, as well as a smart meter at no extra cost, no standing charge and access to festival and music tickets through Live Nation.

Southampton commercial director, David Thomas, said:  “We have some exciting projects lined up in the coming seasons and with our shared community-focused values we believe this partnership can benefit our fans and the wider area.”

Kuflink is a new partner for Saints in a new fintech category. The peer-to-peer investment platform will become a matchday sponsor, appearing on the LED advertising boards during the home games and featuring across social media and digital platforms.
