August 22 – Superliga Argentina has engaged Genius Sports to monitor betting markets for susipicion of match-fixing within its competition as well as conduct a series of educational integrity workshops.
Genius will revamp the league’s official data strategy with a new rights enforcement initiative, identifying both unauthorised scouts operating in-stadia and unofficial data feeds, and will manage the distribution and monetisation of the league’s official data.
Genius Sports’ leading Bet Monitoring System will provide oversight of global betting patterns on the league by monitoring global odds movements via its predictive algorithms.
Superliga players, coaches, officials and administrators will be trained to identify, prevent and report any match-fixing attempts.
Mariano Elizondo, president of Superliga Argentina, said: “Ensuring the transparency of our games is a fundamental priority for Superliga. We aim to guarantee all our teams with the same rules for every game, which is the main requirement for providing our fans and sponsors with the spectacle that they expect.
The Argentinian deal is Sport Genius’ largest in South America.
