November 7 – London is to host this season’s Women’s Champions League final with Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium selected by UEFA – two days before the final of the men’s competition at Wembley Stadium.
Although both finals were also held in London two seasons ago, UEFA is repeating the act as part of the Football Association’s (FA) 150th anniversary celebrations.
London will also play host, in the same week, to UEFA’s annual Congress.
UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino said: “UEFA is pleased to be bringing the UEFA Women’s Champions League final back to London for what will be another successful event.”
Chelsea Football Club chief executive Ron Gourlay said: “Women’s football is now the most played sport for females in the country and the success of the Olympics and the Women’s Super League means there is an even greater enthusiasm.”
