UEFA releases 10,000 Europa League final tickets and launches ‘Flexi-Final’option

February 28 – UEFA is releasing 10,000 tickets for the 2020 UEFA Europa League final in Gdańsk, Poland, at 2pm today, and introducing for the first time a ‘Flexi-Final’ ticket for fans who only want to attend if their team makes the final.

Tickets will be on sale until March 12, with all those registered then being entered into a ballot. Fans will be told via email whether they have been successful by the end of March.

The clubs that make the final will be allocated 10,000 tickets each for the 59,500-capacity Gdańsk Stadium. ‘Flexi-Final’ tickets are separate to those club allocations and will be refunded (excluding a handling fee) if the ticket holder’s club doesn’t make the final and they don’t want to attend.

Criticised for ticketing policies around European club competition finals last year, UEFA has reacted by bringing more flexibility into the ticket buying process.

Ticket pricing has also been an issue and UEFA, following consultation with the independent Football Supporters Europe network (FSE), has set price levels at: Category 4: €40; Category 3: €65; Category 2: €90; Category 1: €130; Accessible tickets for disabled spectators: €40 (all tickets have been priced at the Category 4 rate and one companion ticket is provided free of charge).

All tickets will be delivered via the UEFA official mobile ticketing app.
