March 23 – France Ligue 1 club Bordeaux will switch its kit supply deal from Puma to Adidas from the start of the 2020/21 season.
The new deal is reportedly for five years and is worth €1 million a year plus performance related bonuses.
Puma has been Bordeaux’s kit sponsor for 16 seasons. This will be the third time Adidas has been the club’s kit supplier, having previously had the shirt from 1984 to 1987 and 1999 to 2004.
Adidas clubs currently include Manchester United, Lyon and Juventus. Last week it was announced the German brand was adding Celtic to its club roster in the Scottish champions said was Scotland’s “biggest kit sponsorship ever”.
Bordeaux are currently in 12th position in Ligue 1 which is currently suspended due to the coronavirus crisis.
