March 24 – Serie A club Napoli have reported record revenues of €205 million for the 2018/19 season and a profit of €30.2 million.
For the prior season Napoli posted a loss of €6.4 million and revenues of €182.8 million.
The surge in revenue is attributed mainly to player sales with Jorginho’s move to Chelsea for about €58 million plus €7 million in add-ons, being the highest sale.
Even with record player sales, staff costs also hit record levels at €135.14 million
Napoli’s turnover reportedly rose to €299.9 million due to increased earnings of €24 million from TV rights and capital gains of €53 million.
Owned by the De Laurentiis movie producing family, the club reportedly accounts for 93% of the consolidated revenues of its holding company, FilmAuro
