May 1 – The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) has unveiled a multi-year partnership with Farmer John, making the specialty meat brand the ‘Official Packaged Meat Partner of LAFC’ beginning with the 2020 season.
Although the MLS has currently suspended play with no restart date in sight, the Farmer John partnership was activated immediately with the company being the presenting partner for last night’s episode of ‘Max Live’ on Instagram, featuring LAFC lead broadcaster Max Bretos and two-time MLS Golden Boot winner Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Additionally, Farmer John will serve as a community engagement associate partner for a number of LAFC community initiatives, including support of LAFC’s ‘L.A. Familia’ community-focused campaign, which celebrates the diverse individuals and organisations within the broader LAFC family.
Farmer John will also be involved in player and technical staff appearances.
The MLS is looking at various options to restart its season including centralising games at four venues in the southern belt of the US. The league has also suspended any player transfer activity. Its primary transfer window would have run through run through to May 5.
