eToro trades up with shirt sponsorship at Ligue 1’s AS Monaco

July 1 – Investment platform eToro has traded up at AS Monaco, moving from being a club partner to principal partner and taking the club’s main shirt sponsorship.

eToro first partnered with AS Monaco in 2020, using the Ligue 1 club to build its presence in France and open up financial markets and trading to new French investors.

The AS Monaco shirt front is eToro’s first major club partnership and comes off the back of a season in which AS Monaco finished third in Ligue 1.

Oleg Petrov, Deputy CEO of AS Monaco: “We are very pleased that one year after the beginning of our collaboration, eToro has become the official main partner of AS Monaco. This is an opportunity to strengthen our ties with a company that, like us, places development, competitiveness and innovation at the heart of its concerns.

No specific term or value was given for the deal that begins with the 2021-22 season and is understood to be initially for one year.

Valérie Kalifa, Marketing Director France at eToro: “We are delighted to take this new step with AS Monaco and bring another dimension to our collaboration. We are proud that our first front-of-shirt presence is on the AS Monaco shirt, which we will be supporting more than ever in the coming season. eToro’s vision is to open up the financial markets to everyone and we see this partnership as an opportunity to reach out to the team’s fans and interest more people in investing.”
