July 14 – UEFA’s team of the Euros, selected by the confederation’s technical observers, features eight players from the two finalists: five players from Italy and three from England.
A player each from Belgium, Denmark and Spain complete the line-up, which was selected in a 4-3-3 formation, the most used line-up in the competition.
None of the players selected have previously been in a Best XI Euros selection.
Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was also named as the EURO 2020 Player of the Tournament, while Spain’s 18-year-old midfielder Pedri won the Young Player of the Tournament.
