OneFootball grabs AFC rights package as it expands in key European markets

August 12 – Football streaming platform OneFootball has made two more acquisitions with the live streaming rights to package of AFC rights, as well as completing a new deal to broadcast Portugal’s Primeira Liga.

The deals are territory specific with Asian Football Confederation (AFC) agreement covering live streaming of the final rounds of the Asian World Cup Qualifiers as well as the 2021 and 2022 editions of the AFC Champions League in the UK, Italy, Netherlands, Malta, and San Marino.

ThePrimeira Liga rights are for Italy only and now take the number of leagues broadcast live on the OneFootball platform in the country to 12. OneFootball will also be showing Serie A highlight clips of all 380 matches of the new season non-exclusively, available from midnight after each match.

OneFootball will stream all the AFC’s matches live with English language commentary as well as offering a highlights package. The AFC is now entering the crucial phase of World Cup qualifying with two groups of six nations competing, league style, for the final four Qatar 2022 spots. The top two in each group will qualify.

OneFootball currently reaches about 85 million football fans worldwide every month via its app and website. The app offers a fully personalised home stream for non-stop news as well as single live matches on a free and pay-per-view basis. The company also operates a 24-hour newsroom to provide fans across the world with the comprehensive football content.
