September 28 – Hertha Berlin has become the latest club to bring in a cryptocurrency partner, signing a deal with Caizcoin for the current 2021/22 season.
Caizcoin, the first islamic financial provider active in the field of cryptocurrencies with headquarters in Switzerland, will have a presence on match days and on the digital media channels of the Bundesliga club.
“To position yourself professionally in this area at an early stage and to familiarize yourself with modern solutions helps us all a lot,” said Hertha Berlin’s managing director Ingo Schiller in a statement.
“Of course, the respected values of a diverse and open-minded society that are anchored in the vision should be emphasised.”
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Hertha BSC is a traditional football club in the German Bundesliga,” said CEO of Caiz Holding AG Hamdi Kücüktepe.
“The club finds its supporters from all over the world, which Caizcoin finds very exciting. Many cultures have supported this association since 1892 and have even integrated it into their lives. Caizcoin would like to reach and enrich this colourful diversity of people with its innovative ideas.”
