November – Inter Milan have extended their partnership with Mastercard to now include the shirt sponsorship of the club’s women’s team.
Mastercard has been a partner of Inter Milan since 2018. The women’s shirt sponsorship is part of a wider Mastercard commitment to promote gender equality in sport and women’s football in particular.
Alessandro Antonello, CEO Corporate of FC Internazionale Milano said: “We’re delighted to announce this new partnership agreement with Mastercard, a brand with strong ties to the world of football and an organisation that works hard to support the development of the women’s game.
“Mastercard shares Inter’s commitment to equality and inclusivity and as such we’re pleased that a brand with those values at heart will appear on the jerseys worn by our female players.”
No value or term was given for the sponsorship that will use ambassadors to promote women empowerment, touching on topics such as diversity, inclusion and fair play, and to inspire future generations.
